Finally, after a full team turn out our feet have touched the ground from IFE 2019! Would you believe that it was our 10th time attending the International Food & Drink Event – the biggest show in the country bringing together the best food and drink buyers and suppliers across the UK.
This year was a great success for Southover Foods, across the four days we spent time catching up with lots of old contacts and making many new ones. We had our best looking stand to-date which felt apt as this year we celebrate 30 years in the business.
As a nod to this milestone, we chose to officially launch our brand new range of premium meats –Sussex Cured. On Monday 18th March, we threw a little party with bubbles and Sussex Cured canapes, lots of industry friends, old and new, popped by the say hello, have a toast and find out more about our future plans.
Sustainability was high on the agenda this year at IFE with half of the food and drink companies citing reducing their reliance on single-use plastic and making packaging more sustainable as one of the biggest challenges facing their businesses. Here at Southover Foods we have been tackling this very issue and looking at ways we can make positive changes. We’ll keep you updated on our plans as they develop.
