Branding Update for SCM
It wasn’t that long ago, it seems, that Southover Cooked Meats got an identity makeover, but time marches on relentless and whilst the SCM logo is still very much at the centre of that identity it was decided that the brand was long overdue a lick of fresh paint.
And, oh what fresh paint.
“We didn’t want to change SCM’s identity as it’s done so well as it is, but we felt that it needed to contrast with the product itself. Put simply we wanted to introduce a bit more colour.” The new branding maintains the existing logo, but has introduced a range of bright colours with one colour linked to each type of meat. The oak leaf that has become a familiar part of the brand identity through the logo has been brought forward and used as part of the main new image, giving an established brand a fresh new look.
“It’s all about building on our previous success with the Southover Cooked Meats brand without detracting from that impact.” And it’s clear that this has worked.
