Higgidy Chicken Pot Pie with Ham & Leek

With winter just around the corner it’s not surprise that Higgidy are busy working up some warming wonders with a recent and rather traditional addition to their range of individual pies.

The Higgidy Chicken Pot Pie with Ham & Leek is, in Higgidy’s words ‘substantial’.  It is a rugged and tasty treat, filled with chunks of chicken breast, ham and leeks, which are all held together by a rich sauce, flavoured with real Cheddar cheese and wholegrain mustard.  Delicious warm from the oven, this pie is, unlike a lot of its Higgidy brethren, topped with a puff pastry lid rather than the now rather famous rugged Higgidy mash.  Rather than detracting from the product’s character this more conventional signature sets it apart, finished as it is with a pastry love heart.

From top to bottom this pie is pure Higgidy – flavoursome, wholesome and natural it will satisfy the palate and the conscience as Higgidy make everything by hand and only use natural ingredients, choosing free range whenever possible.
